Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is a widely popular teen actress, thanks to her brilliant performance in the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series based on the hit series of books by author J.K. Rowling that won her huge recognition and, of course, fame comes behind. Em, who was named after her paternal grandmother, who after marriage became "Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson," once moved to rance and lived there for 5 years, before moving back to England where she has lived ever since. Born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England on April 15, 1990, she had to face a bitter reality when her parents, Jacqueline and Chris Watson, who are lawyers, split. She then lived with her lovely mother and three years younger brother named Alex. As she enjoyed her time studying at Dragon School, a renowned British preparatory school located in Oxford, England, she grew up becoming a smart girl who likes debating, besides an avid sports player, who enjoys playing hockey, tennis, and rounders. In addition to her much interest, she also possesses the desire and skill to act. These natural abilities have been evident since her early age, which can be judged through her highly praised performances in several school productions.

At school, little Em showed her acting enthusiasm, took the lead role in several plays, including "Arthur: The Young Years," "The Happy Prince," and "Alice in Wonderland." Besides acting, she also participated in many other school productions. It was when she turned 7 that she won the 1st prize in a school poetry recital, the Daisy Pratt Poetry Competition. Thereupon, her head teacher nominated her and some other friends to audition and compete against many other girls for the role of Hermione Granger in the film "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (2001) when people from the casting office came to her Oxford primary school. Joined for fun only, Em unexpectedly did one audition to other auditions, beating other contestants, many of whom were actresses who had a lot more acting experience than herself. To her shock, she at last won the role and thus the story began.

Renown singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne was born Avril Ramona Lavigne in Napanee, Ontario, Canada, on September 27, 1984, to Judy and John Lavigne, whom both are French-Canadians. She is the mid child in the family, in which she has an older brother, Matthew and a younger sister, Michelle. During her childhood, Avril grew up singing country music and in a church choir and taught herself to play guitar since 12-years-old. She had also started to write her own songs, which was written every time she got home and mainly talks about what happened to her that day. Later she explored more of her skills by joining many talent shows and left her hometown when she was 16 years old.

Avril finally won a competition in a radio contest that allowed her to travel to Ontario and sing with Country legend Shania Twain. Over the next couple of years she tried to make the U.S. recording industry to take notice on her music, but it wasn't until she was in New York at age 16 that she was signed to Arista records. Things began to roll when an Arista employee was so impressed with her music that he returned with his CEO to hear her sang. Once signed to the major label, she immediately dropped out of high school after 11th grade and moved to New York to begin work on her debut album.

Unfortunately, it didn't work the way she hoped. Her time in New York was short-lived as she failed to meet her approval, and eventually moved to Los Angeles, California. From there, Avril eventually moved to the west coast to work with producer/songwriter Cliff Magness, and with more secured input, the two of them worked on compositions for her debut record. The fruit of her partnership and hard work with Cliff was apparent in early 2002 when her debut single ''Complicated'' was released in North America.

Born on March 1, 1994, Justin Bieber started singing since he was 12 and finished the second place when participating in a local singing competition. "The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. I wasn't taking it too seriously at the time, I would just sing around the house," he recalled.

 

In an effort to share his victory to family and friends who missed his performances at the competition, he and his mother opened a YouTube account and posted his video performances on the file-sharing website. "I put my singing videos from the competition on YouTube so that my friends and family could watch them," he stated. "But it turned out that other people liked them and they started subscribing to them. That's how my manager found me. He saw me on YouTube and contacted my family and now I'm signed!"
